ToS of Terms of Service
When you find go to a website you will find two basic “Terms of…” Terms of User refers to how you may use the content that is published. Terms of Service refers to that service that is provided by the owners of the content. In my research I have found the more professional website have one of each.

I worked for a computer repair company that had their ToS on the back of every invoice or work order. It was so long and detailed that you would have to squint your eyes just to read it. This guy’s ToS was changing every week. He rewrite it almost every time he dealt with a customer complaint. Most ToS read to the affect of signing a work order, signs away the right to complain about the service. Don’t get me wrong, he treated his customers fair, but he did not want to hear any complaints or refund any money. Google has a Terms of Service for the services it provides. Then is has a Terms of Use for Google’s Groups maybe used. If you are starting up a new website with a service of any kind should do some research. Should read appropriate section from a website like Internet Soceity.
Google’s ToS is broken down into 20 distinct sections. Each section is numbered and titled. Facebook is a group of bold title sections with paragraphs of content that make for boring reading. Yahoo’s ToS is broken down into 28 section of paragraph content. Word Press ToS is in larger print but just as long trying to include any possible situation to protect themselves legally.
Business*in*a*Box gives a complete set of form including a sample ToS. H&R Block has a form software call Business Attorney. Microsoft has a group of templates for creating your own Terms of Service. If you need a quick and dirty ToS or ToU or Website agreement you may want to look at PriorityDigital.com for a generic form.
