This week’s word and definition is here more than help you comprehend all the work that needs to be done to make a website work. This requires many people with a variety of skill sets. When you open a Cloud application you don’t see all the people that are working behind the scenes that makes that Cloud application work. A Cloud application of any size requires people to build it, and a whole team of people to maintain and improve on its’ functionality. 

This week we will take look at the three main job titles that reflect what type of work that needs to be done to have a successful Cloud application. They are Developer, IT and Webmaster. This week we are going to look at each. Define the roles when it comes to Cloud computing. 

Developer - A developer is a person or organization concerned with facets of the development of an application, or processes. This includes the design and coding. This person’s or team’s job is to make the applications work the way they are suppose to work.

IT - The term IT refers to Information Technology. When the job title is used in the light of Cloud computing is refers to the team that maintain the hardware and back bone software that put a website or application in the Cloud.  The information technology umbrella can be quite large, covering many fields. IT professionals perform a variety of duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. The duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems.

Webmaster - The person who is responsible for the general overseeing of a website from designing, developing, marketing, and to the daily maintance of the website. The webmaster needs to have a working knowledge of all the hardware, software,  legal issues along with the business aspects of running that particular website.
