Security Food for Thought
There has only been a couple of times where I have really got burned bad through shopping online. I must admit it was though my own ignorance. Each time I was more interested in the product than researching the seller. Just looking into the experience others had with the seller would of have saved me hundreds of dollars.
Each and everytime was a result of me not reading the fine print during the check out process.
- The first one I feel for was pay shipping and get an instructional CD for free. I did not read the fine print that stated, I was commited to three CD’s at regular price in the next year.
- The second one was to opt in a postage service, where I could buy postage then print it out on my printer. There was no opt out option. I was comminted to a monthly maintenance fee. I had to cancel the credit card that was on that account before I could get them to stop taking money out of my bank account.
- The third one was an online order that got back ordered. They took my money. I cancel the order. I was my back ordered goods was to be shipped within six months.
- The last one I got sucked into was let us ship you a free sample. A week after the free sample had arrived, I got another package with a month’s supply, along with a bill. They did not way for me let them know if I like the product or not.
