We did not post or do a podcast last we because it was the day before the 4th of July. Yes, there was
the death of Michael Jackson.
- Google OS, Chrome? - Google has announced that it is going to challenge Microsoft in the area of having a desktop operating system. Who knows? This could be a great benefit for us all.
- Gmail is out of Beta - Google’s Gmail is the longest application that I have ever seen to be in beta. Along with ever one else, I believe that it was taken out of beta, in order to sell it to corperation to run their emails.
- Google Invites News on Youtube - Google is inviting any professional news outlet that is already included as one of the 25,000+ sources in Google News to become an official partner on YouTube and more easily share your news videos on both YouTube and Google News.
- Pirate Bay Goes Legal - The outlaw file sharing website is being bought. Global Gaming Factory X, is acquiring The Pirate Bay for $7.8m (SEK 60 million). The acquisition is scheduled to be completed by August and will see the site launch new business models to compensate content providers and copyright owners.
- Yahoo 360 will be No More - On July 13, 2009 Yahoo 360 will be shutting down
- Cyber War - Computer security experts were divided Thursday on whether North Korea was behind the ongoing attacks on US and South Korean websites, an assault that highlighted the vulnerabilities of the Web.
- TwitPay is Back - Several month ago there was started a Twitpay for doing paying bills through Twitter. Not to many people got excited about it. Now it is relaunched with the backing of PayPal.
