Can We Trust The Internet
In the past few months we have seen major sponsors like Visa, CBS, and Verizon starting to advertise on podcast. They are telling me that internet advertising is just not a market to have a presence, but along with podcast have and active presence. From the Olympics larger and larger groups of people are
Jounalist and others, in the San Francisco Bay Area, are asking when the daily newspapers will stop printing on paper and go to just internet content. Many newspapers around the world deliver content through their respective websites.
Before we can move forward, with really trusting the internet, there are five issues. Each of these five issues will continue to grow as a trusted place for us or not.
- ROI - Return on the investment we put into internet. Will the internet be worth our time, energy and money. I believe, YES!
- Security - Can we have a secure experience internet? If and only if we use wisdom when we sit in front of a computer that has internet access.
- Reliability - Can we depend upon it for our day in and day out activities. It is currently just as and maybe more dependable than most home and small business computers.
- Ease of Use - It will not be widely used if it is not easy to use
- What is the learning curve? Not just ease of use but how long will it take to master the applications I need from the internet. If the programs from the internet are not easy to use and easy to find. Internet use will be for only the hard working go getters.
