Google - The Evil Cloud Empire
Google has not been part of the layoff list, considering the current state of our economy. If nothing else it has been releasing more products.
Last month, I got an email with the subject of Google’s Evil Cloud Computing Plan. On the San Francisco Chronicle website the were a post on Sept 25,2008 that was titled, “Is Google Evil?“ Evil or not look at what Google has accomplish. Maybe we can take a look what makes Google the search engine, web browser and other application so popular.
Beside the long list of software as a service, there is quality. What is amazing that most of the cloud based software is classified as beta.
Some of Google’s recently release products are real help for the average computer user. Many of them are free, with paid enhanced versions.
- Radio automation software
- Google SketchUp7
- G Phone is not as smooth looking at the iPhone.
- Chrome a new light weight browser
- GooG411 is a search for the iPhone
- Video Chat
- Voice Search from your cell phone
