Do You Mozy?
If you have not noticed, periodically I get on a soap box and start preaching about the importance of backing up one’s pictures, music, video and documents. Part of the reason is I some very valuable information through not backing up documents. Then there is other people who I know personally who lost very large amounts of time and money, all because they did not back up their records.
Over the years, I have found the biggest deterrent to people backing up the information from their computers is time and know how. Time because one has to schedule a certain every day or week to manual to back up those all important files. Then there are those who see the act of backing up data as rocket science.
A few years back I found the perfect answer. A system that automatically daily puts a second copy of my important files in a secure location. The only really technical part was install the special software needed to tap into this online backup service.
Need I mention that up to 2 gigabytes is FREE. Then above that is under $5 per month. I wish my car insurance was so cheep. The service is call MOZY.
Mozy offers a great online backup service for the home user, and all the way up to large companies.
